Modern Train Control System

Duration of the module – 28 hours

Brief scope of the module –

This course provides an overview of various Train Control Systems used in Main Line/Metro in Europe/North America/other metros in the world. Positive Train Control/European Train Control System/Communication Based Train Control System are also covered in detail in this course. Train Protection Warning System (TPWS) for Indian Railways is also covered. Overview on Basic concepts of Signalling, Backbone Communication system, CENELEC standards and RAMS also provided to make this course as comprehensive as possible for Signalling Engineers on these latest technologies

Through this course,  Signalling Designs for Electronic Interlocking – Outdoor Signalling Designs  like Cable Core Plans, Bonding Plans, Cable Route Plans and Signalling Interlocking Plans, Route Control Charts, Indoor Circuits like Interface Circuits and Application Data for Indian Railways point of view are dealt in a generic way covering almost all similar zonal railway practices.

Principles of Electronic Interlocking

Duration of the module – 20 hours

Brief scope of the module –

If you ever wanted a deep-dive into Electronic Interlocking systems, then this course is the right one for you. Starting with the principles of Interlocking, this course takes you through various aspects of Electronic Interlocking systems from four leading OEMs, and finally focuses on Installation, Testing and Maintenance aspects.

Through this course, Computer Based Interlocking/Solid State Interlocking/Electronic Interlocking is explained in detail including overview of Electronic Interlocking on Indian Railways Mainline for practicing /budding Signal Engineers. Keeping in view of Indian Railways, Electronic Interlocking of all four approved vendors/OEM by RDSO are discussed in detail.

Train Detection systems
